Customer states condensation pump not working. Reset the top of the pump, fired right up. Poured 3, 36 oz cups of water in to pump, triggered pump each time. Filter clean, unit clean. As of departure, no leaks, unit cooling
Customer stated that unit is not cooling properly. Pulled sheet metal from evap coil, found completely iced. Explained entire situation to customer, including the fact that with the potential water damage to the furnace, they may want to consider replacing the 19 year old system. AC runs on outdated R22. Could not provide any hard data, due to icing. Customer wants full estimate
Found unit low on R22 Pressures at 40/166 evap coil at negative 2 degrees. Unit could possibly be up to 9 pounds low of outdated refrigerant. Leak is commonly found in the evaporator coil. Unit is 15 years old and in good condition, failure is from normal wear and tear. At this point, cost of repair outweighs cost of replacement. Providing estimates for both.
Found AC breaker tripped, reset. Coils on unit are damaged in areas, restricting air flow. This Bryant Unit is from 1987, but is currently cooling. Customer understands that with a unit this old, there is no guarantee on how long it will hold up. As a company, we do not suggest putting any money in to repairing system.
